What is Florida Live Scan?
Florida Live Scan is electronic fingerprinting submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), which checks Florida records and forwards your prints to the FBI for a national search. For many healthcare jobs, results are shared through Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, used by agencies such as AHCA.
What you need before your appointment
- The ORI number for the agency requesting the check. This is the most important detail; without it your prints can’t be routed.
- The employer or agency name and any service code they gave you
- Unexpired government photo ID
- Your Social Security number and basic personal details
Not sure of your ORI? Ask your employer or licensing agency. Using the wrong ORI sends your results to the wrong place.
