Most states run their own electronic fingerprint system, and those machines only work inside that state. California Live Scan, for example, sends prints straight to the California DOJ from approved sites in California. If you live in Oregon, your agency will usually ask for fingerprints on paper cards instead.
That is where we come in. We take your prints on the card your agency supplies, or on a standard FBI FD-258 card, and check every field before you leave so the card is accepted the first time.

Can I get California Live Scan in Oregon?
No. California Live Scan machines transmit only to the California DOJ from approved sites inside California. Out-of-state applicants normally submit FD-258 ink fingerprint cards instead, often with a CJIS 9004 exemption form or cards issued by the California agency. We roll those cards for you.
Which fingerprint card should I bring?
Bring the card your agency or employer sent you, if any, plus their instructions. If they accept a standard FBI FD-258 card and you do not have one, we can provide it.
How many cards do I need?
Follow your agency’s instructions. Many ask for two completed cards, so it is worth having a spare in case one is rejected.
How long does processing take?
That depends on the state agency receiving your cards, not on us. Ink cards are mailed, so they usually take longer than electronic Live Scan. For example, the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing lists about 10 to 12 weeks for DOJ processing of hard cards.
What does it cost?
Fingerprinting at our offices starts at $35. Your state agency charges its own processing fee separately, which you pay directly to them.
