FBI background checks for Washington County

Two of our three offices are in Washington County: Hillsboro (open Saturdays) and Beaverton. The Hillsboro office is at 9620 NE Tanasbourne Dr, Suite 300, Hillsboro, open Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 2 PM. It’s the only one of our offices open on Saturdays. An FBI background check (Identity History Summary) is $135. We take your prints digitally and send them through an FBI-approved channeler, and results usually come back in about 24 to 48 hours.

• Immigration and visas: many consulates want the FBI report with an apostille. FBI check plus apostille is $295, and we handle the apostille request for you.
• Jobs and licenses abroad: teaching, nursing and residency applications often ask for a recent FBI report.
• Bring: a current government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport.

Common questions

How long does an FBI background check take for Washington County residents?
Electronic submissions through a channeler usually come back in about 24 to 48 hours. Mailing ink cards directly to the FBI takes much longer.

Is an FBI background check the same as an Oregon state check?
No. The FBI check covers federal and state records reported to the FBI. Some Oregon employers and licensing boards run their own state check, so follow your agency’s instructions.
